The terms for using StorySG.

These terms cover the StorySG family handbook app, its plans and our workshops. By using StorySG, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, write to us at hello@storysg.com.
Your account
The Family Champion signs in with their own Google account and owns the family's handbook. The Family Champion decides who joins and what role they have. Please keep your Google account secure, because it is the key to your handbook.
Your family's content
Your family owns everything it adds: recordings, text, photos, videos and the pages written from them. You give StorySG permission to store and process that content only to run the app for you, including the AI work you ask for. You can download, move or delete it at any time.
Consent and respect
- Ask before recording anyone's story, voice or photo.
- For someone who has passed, decide together as a family before adding anything about them.
- If someone asks for their entry to be changed or removed, please respect that.
- Only add content you have the right to share, and do not use StorySG for anything unlawful or hurtful to others.
AI as the writing partner
AI helps write down what a person said. It does not make it up, and the original is always kept beside it. AI can still make mistakes, especially with dialects and names, so please read each page and correct it where needed.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any time from your account, and upon cancellation, your plan stays active to the end of the paid year. We email you 7 days before each renewal. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a new purchase only, even if you have used the included workshop. We do not give partial refunds after 14 days.
When a Family plan ends
Your family returns to the Free plan and nothing is deleted. Everyone can still read and download. The Family Champion keeps writing in one handbook, and other handbooks become read-only. If your storage is over the Free limit, new uploads pause. Renewing restores everything.
Gifts
You can buy a year of the Family plan for another family. They receive a code to start.
Workshops
The Family plan includes one online workshop, booked from the app. Group workshops for centres, clubs and companies are agreed and quoted separately.
Our service
We work hard to keep StorySG running and your handbook safe, but we cannot promise the app will always be available or free of errors. Please download your handbook from time to time so you always have your own copy. To the extent the law allows, StorySG is not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we ever close StorySG, we will give families notice and time to download everything.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
